Action - Make a Decision#

This Action lets you choose what should happen based on decisions you make about what’s true or not true. The possible decisions you can make are:

  • If - Let’s you check if something is true. If it is, only this If decision’s Actions will happen. The rest of the decisions will be ignored.

  • Else If - Let’s you check something else if the If decision did not turn out to be true. Should this Else If decision turn out to be true, only this Else If decision’s Actions will happen. The rest of the decisions will be ignored. It should be noted that you can add many Else If decisions one after the other.

  • Else - This decision’s Actions will happen if all the If and Else If decisions turned out to be false.

Example - Apple Seller#

Let’s say you have an Apple Seller in your game. You want to do one thing if the Player has 10 or more coins, another thing if the Player has 5 or more coins, and something else if the Player has at least 1 coin, and something totally else if the Player has no coins.

Your Action Sequence would look like this:

  • Make a Decision
    • If - coin >= 10
      • Say Something - “Great! You have enough for both apples!”
      • Decrease Item Count - coin -= 10
      • Increase Item Count - apple += 2
      • Say Something - “Okay, there you go! Two apples!”
    • Else If - coin >= 5
      • Say Something - “Hmm… looks like you only have enough for one apple.”
      • Decrease Item Count - coin -= 5
      • Increase Item Count - apple += 1
      • Say Something - “Here’s your apple!”
    • Else If - coin >= 1
      • Say Something - “Sorry, that’s not enough coins. I need at least 5 coins.”
    • Else
      • Say Something - “No money, no apples!”
