Action - Group of Actions#

This Action lets you bundle a group of actions together to be treated like one Action. This is very useful when combined with Actions such as Do Actions in a Row, or Do Actions in a Loop, or Pick a Random Action. With those Actions, they contain a list of Actions, only one of which will happen. However, sometimes you want a specific group of Actions to occur instead of just a single Action. In those situations, you would make the one Action chosen be a Group of Actions.

Example - Unpredictably Froggy#

Let’s say you have a Froggy in your game who is hard to predict. Sometimes when you talk to them, they will give you money. Sometimes they will teleport you away. And sometimes they will just say hi.

Here’s how it would look in your Action Sequence:

  • Pick a Random Action
    • Group of Actions
      • Increase Item Count - coin += 1
      • Say Something - “{froggy} I’m feeling generous today. Here’s a coin!”
    • Group of Actions
      • Say Something - “{froggy} Go away! I don’t want to see anyone.”
      • Teleport - Teleport Player to Room 2 at <0, 1, 0>
    • Say Something - “{froggy} Hi. What’s up?”
